Cória Estates: Vineyard Signage
Creative Marketing Manager—Sr Designer—Photographer

Responsibilities include: design, production design, vendor relations, photography.
Cória Estates, a family-operated vineyard nestled in South Salem, Oregon, spans 104 acres with plantings ranging from 1999 to 2020. Custom metal signage was commissioned to not only enhance the visitor experience by reflecting their unique story, but also to serve as a practical guide for the vineyard crew, given the ongoing cycle of vineyard maintenance.
The project presented the challenge of designing versatile signage capable of distinctly highlighting 22 vineyard blocks within the expansive 104-acre estate. The vineyard's rich history, beginning with hand-planted Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris in 1999, and subsequent expansions in 2008, 2015, and 2020, necessitated a design that could effectively represent its evolution and diversity.
To ensure longevity and visibility in the challenging Willamette Valley climate, while simultaneously capturing the essence of the vineyard's heritage and diverse Pinot Noir clones, the designs emphasized bold typography, high contrast, and robust materials. This approach aimed to create signage that was both functional and reflective of Cória Estates' unique identity.
